The Babine Lake Mammoth: Bones From an Ice Age Giant

In 1971 an incredible discovery was made on the shores of Lake Babine when a mining excavation revealed the bones of an ice age giant. Excavated by a team from the Canadian Geological Institute, the bones of the Babine Lake Mammoth have been part of the collections of the Canadian Museum of Nature since the 1970s.
