From the Back Room

Our permanent collection includes over 3400 artifacts, over 10,000 photographs, and nearly countless archival documents, maps, newspapers, and more. However, we only have space to display about 1% of those items at any one time. Inspired by our long running summer newspaper column “From the Back Room“, this exhibition features weird and wonderful objects from our permanent collection that have either never been displayed before, or have not been displayed for a long time. This collection-based exhibit allows us to showcase unique objects that may not fit into the themes of our historical exhibitions, and to enjoy them individually on their own merits.
